The Commission announces when it will release list of successful
applicants.
The screening and physical fitness assessment of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) 2018 recruitment exercise will be conducted in all state capitals from Monday 24 to Saturday 29 september, 2018.
Bisi Kazeem, Corps Public Education Officer, FRSC, made the announcement on Friday night in a statement. He advised applicants to check their emails on Wednesday, 19 September 2018, for information on those shortlisted for screening and physical fitness assessment. He said: “The email information shall contain the venue, date, time of screening and required items to be taken along for the exercise.
“Shortlisted applicants are to come with the summary data page earlier received and email notification slip which shall admit them to the screening venue. “Any candidate without the print out of the summary data page and notification slip for this phase of the exercise shall not be admitted into the screening venue”.

*Sultan of Sokoto appointed Grand Patron of Anatomical Society*
The Anatomical Society of Nigeria has appointed the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, as its Grand Patron.
Its President in Nigeria, Professor Tamunotonye Jacks, made the conferment during a courtesy visit to the Sultan on Thursday as part of activities for the 15th annual scientific conference and general meeting holding in Sokoto.
This theme of this year’s conference is ‘Re-designing the teaching of anatomy in Africa: Prospect and challenges.’
According to Jacks, the society had taken proactive step to overhaul the B.Sc. Anatomy curriculum in order to position it toward entrepreneurship and competitiveness.
The Sultan thanked the society for the honour done to him. He tasked them to come up with an improved method of teaching anatomy in the country.
Abubakar urged members of the association to embrace modern techniques in teaching the subject in tertiary institutions.
The monarch also charged state governments to supply modern equipments for the teaching of the subjects in their respective higher institutions.
Abubakar commended members of the society for the move so far made to make the subject entrepreneurial-based and more competitive.
He also commended them for their relentless efforts in ensuring that the moribund Anatomy Act of 1933 was amended in tandem with the modern challenges.
*Earlier, guest speaker and President, International Federations of Associations of Anatomy, Professor Beverley Kramer,* thanked the Sultan for his continuous support and encouragement to the association and medical education of the girl child.

President of NLC has accused the Federal government of Nigeria for not being ready to implement the new proposed minimum wage. According to the NLC president, the commitee on minimum wage set by the Federal government has finished their assignments which they started March, 2018.
