Governor of Cross River State, Professor Ben Ayade, announced the increment of corps members allowances serving in the Cross River state #3,100 to N5,000. The Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Asu Okang, made the disclosure during the closing ceremony for the 2018 `Batch B’ Orientation at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Obubra Local Government Area of the state. He explained that the increase was necessitated by the high cost of goods and services in Nigeria. He saluted the corp members for the successful completion of their three weeks orientation programme which he believe was interesting. “He was also happy to announce to all of the Corp members that the government of the state has increased their monthly allowance from N3,100 to N5,000 starting from this Batch B batch.
